OUR STORY

How we started

 

Banana Split Inc. is an Illinois corporation and began operations on February 11, 1983. We are a seasonal soft serve ice cream store, with walk up service located at 820 Church Road, Aurora, across from Garfield Park.* We are open daily from the end of February until mid October. We feature Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry soft serve ice cream in a wide variety of delicious ice cream creations. Our specialty is the banana split, made the old fashioned way, which we sell in three sizes; small, regular and the “Groaner”.
 
 *Garfield Park is a 28 acre city park that includes two Little League fields, (Dolan & Andrews), horseshoe courts, a playground, a basketball court, tennis courts, a picnic pavilion and open grassy recreational areas.
